Charles started working with Academic as assistant controller in 2014 with responsibilities over daily accounting operations and financial reporting for all companies within the Group and was subsequently promoted to the positions of Controller and then to the Chief Financial Officer position. 

Prior to joining Academic, Charles spent 15 years within financial accounting and reporting for financial and insurance  giants such as JPMorgan Chase, AIG, AXA and QBE ensuring that proper financial reporting principles and timelines were followed.  His experience within the industry has developed his expertise in audits, financial reporting, management reporting, operational accounting, financial analytics and accounting policy.

Charles earned an undergraduate accounting degree from Brooklyn College.  He attended St. John’s University where he earned his MBA and graduated with a dual specialization in Accounting/Finance.  He is a CPA in the State of New York and is currently preparing to take the CMA (Certified Management Accounting) exam.
