Vice President, Underwriting

Steven has over 30 years experience in the medical professional liability insurance field and has been with the Academic Group since its formation in 1991. As the VP of Underwriting he focuses on the operational and strategic aspects of the department including business development. He works with other senior management members to meet the company’s current and future goals. He has assisted in the development of the current programs in use. Prior to joining Academic he was with another NY based insurance firm working in various positions in their underwriting department.



Steven received his BS from SUNY Empire State College in Economics & Business Management and earned his MBA in Management from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY. He is also a licensed Property and Casualty Broker in New York State.
